How To Set Ilo Ip Address
HP�due south remote access equivalent to Dell�due south DRAC is Integrated Lights Out (iLO). To setup the iLO:
- Select "Advanced Options"
- Select "Advanced System ROM options"
- Select Power-on Logo
- Disable it

I and so found two different ways to reset the IP address and countersign - both using the HPONCFG tool installed with the SmartStart CD. If you lot dont have this installed you can download the ProLiant Back up Pack from the HP downloads section, specific to your server and Bone. The easiest way is via the GUI, only if you wanted to change multiple iLo usernames/passwords and network configuration, then the command line might exist useful.
1) HPONCFG - GUI
To run this tool, logon to the server in question, it does not have to be a panel session, merely a normal RDP session and run the executable beneath:
C:\Program Files\HP\hponcfg\hponcfg_gui.exe

....10-twenty-2004 11:34 PM Is there a fashion to modify the IP accost of an ILO without having to use the F8 option at kicking upwardly. We have a number of servers that can not be restarted but need the ILo IP address with changed or configured.
The servers are all G2/G3 and apply the Integrated Ilos.

I'one thousand not aware that at that place is an option to change it without reboot,if there is an option then when you are connected from the browser to the console to make the changes there are adventure y'all will loose connectivity later the network changes.
I think in that location is no choice, if in that location is an option please postal service it hither and I would be interested to know.

....x-21-2004 09:05 PM Yes you can change the IP Address of the iLo when the server is upwards. Log onto the iLo itself as an administrative user and select administration --> Network.
This will reboot the iLo itself, but the server will be unnaffected.
We take done this procedure hither a few times, and is perfectly safe to do so. .

....10-21-2004 09:31 PM The trouble is that the ILo is either on a default Ip range of 10. which is different to the servers or has no IP address and so you tin not log onto the Ilo through a browser. The organization management page volition give you a link to the ILo and you can see what IP address information technology is trying to get to but as it is a different network obviously it fails. .

....10-21-2004 09:56 PM The default iLo configuration should united states of america DHCP, but if yous've assigned an IP Address, then the simplest thing to do without interrupting the server is to get yourself a laptop, set it up on the right IP range and plug a crossover cable into the iLo, you lot'll be able to alter it then. .
